TIPS: Conic Round in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire

Version: Pro/E Wildfire, Wildfire2.0, Wildfire3.0, Wildfire4.0

Beside the default round (circular – rolling ball), rounds tool in Pro/ENINEER Wildfire consist of advanced sub-feature to help you in your modeling.

Below is a quick tip of conic rounds.

Use round tool Pro/E Wildfire round icon and select the desire round edge. Pro/E rounds dashboard will appears.

On the round dashboard, click the Sets menu. After that, choose the conic type from the round types list.

Now, you will be provided with an additional dimension and grip which control the conic factor. Conic factor can be changed by dragging the grip or double click and change the dimension.

Conic Factor: 0.3

Conic factor vary between 0 and 1, the bigger value indicates more tangential to the neighbor surface and vise versa.The dynamic lightweight preview in Pro/E Wildfire updates instantly when you make any changes. This helps to predict the end result better.
