TUTORIAL: Create swept blend using internal sketches in Pro/E Wildfire3.0Version: Wildfire 3.0 only Swept blend feature is modernized in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 and it is now comes with dashboard and interactive preview. The new GUI consolidates all the feature types together which includes of protrusion, cut, surface, surface trim, thin protrusion, thin cut, and thin trim. Sections selection and modification of the swept blend also become flexible and interactive.
This tutorial shows you how to create sweep blend with internal sketches. 1. From the drop down menu, click Insert > Swept Blend 2. You should get the swept blend dashboard after you activated the swept blend command. *Note that swept blend dashboard is only available in Pro/E Wildfire 3.0. If you are using Pro/E version Wildfire 2.0 and below, menu manager will be prompted for swept blend command. 3. Select the swept blend trajectory. After selected, the trajectory will be displayed as below. The yellow arrow is indicating the start point. 4. On the dashboard, click the section from the menu and the section extension will appears. After that, select section 1 and choose the location where you want to place the section. Click the start point (on trajectory) to make selection. 6. After the Section 1 is defined, the Insert button will be activated now. Hit the Insert button, select the location of section 2 on your trajectory and sketch section 2. 7. Repeat step 6 to insert the following section. Once you have defined the section at the endpoint, the light weight preview for Pro/E Wildfire will appears. For this example, I’m using 4 sections for my swept blend. If you are satisfied with the swept blend feature, click the check mark
