TIPS: Pro/E Wildfire Variable Section Sweep - Section Plane ControlVersion: Pro/E Wildfire, Wildfire 2.0 and Wildfire 3.0 There are 3 options for section plane control in Variable Section Sweep feature (Normal to Trajectory, Normal to Projection and Constant Normal Direction). These options can be applied in both Constant Section and Variable Section condition. Below is a quick explanation for each of the option. To change this option, click the references menu on the Variable Section Sweep dashboard and you can see the drop down options for section plane control.
Normal to Trajectory – This is another example for Normal to Trajectory. Two trajectories are selected this time (A & B). You can create a sweep feature moving thru A trajectory and normal to B trajectory. [Click the references menu on the dashboard. Next put a check mark in the N column to set the normal condition for either one of the selected trajectory.]
2. Normal to Projection - Section is always perpendicular to a specified plane. You will need to specify a datum plane after you selected the Normal to projection option.
3. Constant Normal Direction - Section is always parallel to a specified plane. You will need to specify a datum plane after you selected the Constant Normal Direction option.
