TIPS: Quick Print Command in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 and Later Versions

Version: Pro/E Wildfire3.0, Wildfire4.0

Quick print command is a new command introduced in Pro/ENGINEER wildfire 3.0 and it will be continue occurred in the later version such as ProE Wildfire 4.0, Wildfire 5.0 and so on. You can use the quick print command to quickly print out the drawing with multiple views of your active ProE model.

To activate this command in Pro/ENGINEER, you can pick File > Quick Print from the top menu with the model opened. The quick print dialog box appears as shown in the image above.

There are 4 categories of options in the quick print dialog box; View Layout Definition, Sheet Setting, View Layout and Views.

View Layout Definition
There are 3 options under this category. You can choose to have Projection Layout (Default), Manual Layout or Drawing Template. Besides, you can also specify your Plot Config File by using the browse button.

Sheet Setting – Projection Layout
Set the paper size and its orientation here. Paper sizes consist of the standard size (A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, C, D, E, F, etc) and also custom size.

Sheet Setting – Manual Layout
Beside setting the paper size and its orientation, you can also specify the number of views in the manual layout sheet setting.

 
View Layout – Projection Layout
This is the view layout options for Projection Layout dialog box. You are able to specify the layout of the projection views desired and also their positions.

After specifying the number of views, you can choose the view layout as shown in the picture below.

Views
You can specify the model orientation, view scale and its display style in the views option. The drop down menu in the image below shows that you can pick the appropriate saved view name and the display style easily.
